Covered on-site parking with secure access may be available for an extra weekly fee upon request.
A: Yes, we generally require a minimum stay of six (6) months, but shorter stays of at least four (4) months may be available upon request.
A: You can apply for a room through our website by filling out an application form. Once approved, we’ll guide you through the Rooming Accommodation Agreement and payment process.
A: We accept bank transfers and deposits. Fees for international transactions must be covered by the applicant/resident.
A: Yes. A refundable security deposit (bond) is required to secure your application. The amount is equivalent to two (2) weeks' rent and is lodged with the Residential Tenancy Authority (RTA) according to tenancy regulations in Queensland.
A: Rent is due weekly and must be paid on time to avoid late fees.
A: Yes, all our rooms, suitable for singles or couples, come fully furnished with essentials, including bed frames, mattresses, mattress protectors, pillows, pillow protectors, bedside tables, wardrobes, and storage space. Bathrooms, whether ensuite or private, are provided with a toothbrush holder, hand towel, mat, bin, and toilet brush. Cleaning products are not included.
A: Yes, the unit’s shared areas are generally fully equipped with a three-seat sofa, an occasional chair, a TV unit, a television, a Chromecast, a four-seat dining table, and outdoor furniture (specific inclusions may vary by unit). The laundry area is equipped with a washer and dryer. The kitchen includes all the necessary appliances, such as a fridge-freezer, oven, dishwasher, microwave, rice cooker, sandwich maker, kettle, cookware set, and all the utensils for cooking.
A: Guests are welcome but must follow the HOUSE RULES for Rooming Accommodation. Overnight guests are not allowed.
A: Pets are not allowed.
A: You can report non-urgent maintenance issues through email at fix@wehostu.au or contact our support team for emergencies. We aim to resolve issues as quickly as possible.
A: You should bring personal items like bedding and toiletries. Some properties might provide these items as an additional service. If you need any of them, please contact us through email at host@wehostu.au.
A: Yes, a fee equivalent to one (1) week's rent plus GST will be charged to cover the costs of finding a new resident. If you decide to break your agreement, please notify us as early as possible. You will still be responsible for paying weekly rent until the new resident(s) take over your agreement.
A: Yes, subject to availability. Please inform us as early as possible if you wish to extend your lease.
A: Residents are required to adhere to the “Vacating Procedure” outlined in their Rooming Accommodation Agreement. In summary, residents must vacate the unit by 2:00 PM on their scheduled move-out day. The room, bathroom, and storage spaces occupied must be professionally cleaned. All rents and invoices must be paid, and keys and remotes must be returned. The general condition of the unit, along with furniture and inventory, must match the entry report agreed upon.
A: If you follow our guidance on time, your refund will be processed in seven (7) to fourteen (14) business days. According to the RTA, refunds can only be paid into Australian bank accounts (no cheques).
